Hopping from one store to another, canvassing prices, haggling, and rushing along with other shoppers during the holiday break was certainly tiring but me and my boyfriend pushed hard and exerted extra energy for the benefit of the kids who didn’t had a chance to celebrate even just a simple Christmas party last year.
As I have stated in my entry before, I am using the cash prize from the White’s Hot challenge I have won two months ago. Instant budget for a dream charity project of my own! It was pure luck but I wish I’d still have a chance to do this kind of activity again in the future.
First theme that came to my mind – M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!
I had experienced walking 2 hours just to reach the Aeta students who live on highlands, dealt with special children, and pushed kariton with Efren Peñaflorida and volunteers to teach street children. Feels so rewarding. Now, it’s my turn to organize a children’s party. I don’t even have an idea how much a paper plate costs so it was really important to canvas and ask around.
I didn’t expect looking for Mickey Mouse giveaway items would be tough! To make our lives easier, we added some more characters!
And who wouldn’t love these blow bubbles?
