Mickey Mouse Party at Concordia Children’s Services

January 5, 2013 – Our first event of the year. If you have read my BTS post, then I am pretty sure that you know about the post-Christmas party that we have prepared for the children of  Concordia Children’s Services. It was a Mickey Mouse party that both kids and kids at heart enjoyed!

Most of my friends that were invited to this event were not feeling well because of our bipolar weather and we were afraid they might transfer the virus to the kids but I still appreciate their support. Special thanks to Eton de Guzman, who was also feeling under the weather that day but still helped us organize the entire thing and to Michelle Bugante for spending time with us when she could had just rest at home after her flight from Zamboanga.

Me, Michelle, and Ms. Nerie, the supervising caregiver and nurse at Concordia

We started off with several games such as the classic Trip to Jerusalem, Bring Me, and Group Yourselves.

Our host for the day: Payasong Salamangkero

“Bring me the biggest step-in” then everyone ran holding their slippers. LOL.

The winning “step-in”

“Who wants to play more?”

Chin to chin

Chin to chin with tongue out!

We knew the kids were already tired and hungry so we distributed their meals and took a small break. Who wouldn’t love Chickenjoy and spaghetti?

Kids really love the hit song “Cha Cha” and requested Mary Rose and Kate to dance for them. These two girls are really talented and bibo!

Next, is Payasong Salamangkero’s magic show that left everyone in awe!

Of course, to make everyone happier, we gave them lootbags filled with Mickey Mouse goodies!

Lastly, my final message before our goodbye… and last surprise too!

We have a small grocery showcase for everyone! We gave them food, toiletries, and other essential products for infants and toddlers. (It was my first time to buy diapers! And in different sizes!)

And it was a success! We really feel the kids had a great time and it was a blessing to us to be able to share love and joy with these precious ones. God has certainly soften my heart in so many ways in such a little time. None of this would have happened without your support. Thank you so much!

P.S. Me and my friend who missed the party will visit CCS again tomorrow to bring more gifts and donations!

Hi, I am planning to hold a party in CCS. I would like to ask if they have their own monoblock chairs?

  10. Yes, they have monoblock chairs but that was years ago. You may try calling them first for scheduling and confirmation 713-3462
