Native Union Monocle

A speaker. A handset. A speakerphone. In one? Yes, that’s how cool it is!

It is basically a portable speakerphone that can also be used as your music speaker or a handset when you try to make a call. It somewhat similar to headphones but with only one earpiece (hence its name). It comes in different colors and the one I got is mint.

It has a long mint nylon cord which you can practically hang over your shoulders or hold up to your ear. To turn the gadget on, simply twist the edge of the headpiece. You’ll hear a click when you turn on and off the monocle and it has a white LED indicator. Rotate the wheel to increase or decrease the volume. The wheel btw has a Knurled rubber texture for optimal grip.

As a music speaker, it produces a good quality sound with a decent max volume. Pretty good for sound tripping but a single monocle is not something that you’d want to use for parties. Perhaps, daisy-chain around 10 monocles to create a more social listening experience. So if you have a friend who also has one, connect them together to share your music or even your calls!

When off, you can also use it as a handset. With its full duplex microphone, the monocle is loud and clear allowing you to take calls and navigate your device at the same time.

What I like most is that, its 3.5mm jack is compatible with all devices! Tried it with my phone, laptop and iPad and it worked great. Another thing, it also comes with these accessories.

It includes a micro usb port which you can connect on your computer to charge your monocle. I personally like the bag loop which allows me to bring my monocle wherever I go. I think it’s sooo cool to bring anywhere!
