Ellana Minerals Intensive Blend Foundation

Fine Arts is a very expensive course. In order for me to survive and to use quality art materials, I needed to have a sideline. One of my main source of income is from Ellana Minerals! Their products are great (formulated to stay on in humid weather and for Filipina skin tone) and everything is very affordable so no wonder why college students at that time went gaga over the products I was selling. After college, I stopped selling and drowned myself at work but I still dropped by SM Makati from time to time to buy Ellana loose mineral foundation and concealer.
This 2014, I am so glad to know that they are back in the market with a new packaging and pressed powders! Do they still have the same formula? Let’s see.
Ellana Minerals Intensive Blend Mineral Foundation
The new packaging is definitely more attractive and chic!
Pros: It has medium to heavy coverage but it feels light on skin. The powder is easy to blend too because of its high pigmentation. This foundation is also buildable and has a velvety texture that makes skin look flawless.

This product also does not contain harmful chemicals like paraben. It’s the safest foundation and I’ve never broke out from this!
Hazelnut Latte shade (medium light, warm tone)
Take a look at the photo below. You can easily distinguish which part of my skin has foundation on. My skin looks smooth right after application! Did you notice that it also gave a beautiful glow on my skin?
There are 9 shades available that you can even mix to get the right shade for your skin. It can cover some minor blemishes, dark spots, and redness. Other benefits are sun protection, Vitamin C and E.
And of course, Ellana Minerals is proudly made here in the Philippines!
  Poreless Perfection!

The cons? The powder works great however my skin tends to get oily after 4 to 5 hours especially on my t-zone area. I guess it works better on normal to dry skin but if you don’t mind retouching your makeup every 4 hours then this product is a great buy. You can also try using Ellana Minerals Liquid Primer or Sheer Velvet Powder to help your makeup last longer.
Another thing, the product tends to crease especially on the under eye area. Application of this product needs to have the right tools to avoid creasing. I mean, you cannot only use your fingers for this. You need makeup brushes to blend the powder flawlessly.
If you find the loose power messy to use, you can purchase the pressed powder.

Loose Powder: Php 460
Pressed Powder: Php 650
Up until now, I still love Ellana Minerals! Better packaging, great products and still affordable. How about you? Have you tried Ellana Minerals?
