MATRIX 8-Inch Cut for Cancer Challenge

Every year, an additional 3,500 children in the Philippines struggle with different types of cancer and it affects their confidence in all aspects of life.
In an effort to uplift the lives of these children, Matrix, the no.1 salon brand in the world, takes on the challenge to gather hairdressers and Pinays to make a difference with MATRIX 8-Inch Cut for Cancer Challenge.

Chairs of Change is the worldwide program by Matrix that allows stylists to make a diffrence through their craft. They have formed a worldwide community of stylists that shares a mission of touching and changing lives.

Leading up to October 2014, Matrix in partnership with Kythe Ateneo, call upon Pinays to join this worthwhile movement by cutting off and donaing 8 inches of their hair for the benefit of Filipino children with cancer. At the same time, volunteer hair dressers from partner institution, David’s Salon will be donating their time on October 25 to do the stylish haircuts for free.

To further amplify the initiative, Matrix Philippines partnered with TV personality, Maxene Magallona and lifestyle blogger, Jackie Go. With cancer awareness as an advocacy that is very close to their hearts, both ambassadors took on the challenge themselves by cutting 8 inches of their hair. Matrix and its ambassadors share the same goal of inspiring and encouraging Filipinos to make a difference in the lives of cancer kids.

With 33 years of global salon success and currently present in 57 countries, Matrix continues the Chairs of Change journey with the Matrix 8-inch Cut for Cancer Challenge. Are you ready to accept the challenge to give Filipino children an option to live with confidence and expression?

Dare to make a difference on October 25 at The Block, 2nd Floor, SM City North Edsa.
