Me and Morris
I hate to say this but I personally think dogs have become status symbols. Owning one conveys you’re rich enough to afford a purebred dog and it’s not just about ensuring breed traits or temperament anymore. It doesn’t only break my heart but also the hearts of the little Aspins. But don’t get me wrong. I know that there are still some people who love having purebred dogs and aspins together in one home.

Take a look at these adorable Aspins at Mandaluyong Animal Shelter who are caged almost all their lives waiting for their furever homes. Most of them were neglected and abused by their previous owners. 🙁 Adopt them and they will surely give you lots of love and joy in return!

Open your hearts to older dogs and turn their bad memories into good ones. They’ve been through a lot but they stayed strong, still hoping to find a hooman who would truly love them.

Aside from seniors, large Aspins rarely get adopted too because people consider puppies or smaller dogs more due to space considerations. Some dogs don’t really need a big space. I bet they’d love to roll around your room more than in their cages at the pound.

As I have said in my previous blog post, not everyone of them has the chance to take a good bath at the pound. Dogs battle with one another for their share of food. And almost everyday, no one has a heart to offer them fresh water to drink.

Day by day, these dogs get thinner and depressed. They need a family and a real home.
By adopting a shelter animal, you’ll save a life and find a best friend for life. And this is why I have BIG respect to people with inexplicable compassion, who welcome Aspins in their homes and treat them like family.
