Revlite at Cara Laser Skin Care

Two weeks ago, I went to Cara Laser Skin Care clinic in First Level, Phase 1, U.P. Town Center (Near Robinson’s Department Store and CoCo) to try their new Revlite machine on my face.

I was not very familiar with U.P. Town Center and the Waze pinned area was a bit far from Cara. The clinic’s lighting was also dimmed so it wasn’t visible enough when you stroll inside the mall but good thing, there were guards around to help me find the clinic easily.

When I arrived, their staff greeted me and took care of my concerns immediately. The clinic has certified dermatologists, therapists, and registered nurses who go through constant world-class training to ensure the safety, comfort, and effectivity of their treatments. I noticed that especially the way they speak to their patients. As I waited for my turn, I also realized that their intimate aesthetics made me feel more relaxed and comfortable.

Before we started with any treatments, they asked me to fill up a form and disclose any skin/health issues for safety measures. They also asked me if I am currently taking meds and if I have any fillers on my skin as it also might not be good for the skin treatment that I am going to try. They also explained that some customers experience skin irritation after the Revlite treatment and the level of redness and itchiness varies for every skin type. I am used to it already – but I appreciate that they mention it to their patients before the actual treatment (‘cause some clinics don’t).

After the mini interview, the nurse ushered me to one of their rooms. I love the rose gold + dark teal aesthetics! I wonder how they would see my skin imperfections easily in this dim lighted room.

I was asked to wear a pink satin robe too! Their Revlite machine is still new so you are given a more precised spotting and efficient treatment. I believe this ConBio Cynosure machine from Australia helps in a non-ablative skin resurfacing, wrinkle reduction, and acne scar reduction, and is proven effective on dermal and epidermal pigmented lesions, including melasma.

Revlite also helps in removal of facial hair, the culprit of excessive oil. I’m very mabalbon and very oily especially on the T-zone and cheeks area so this Revlite treatment is a total rescue for me. After the treatment, the facial hair will turn to white and they will fall off after 2-3 days.

Since I was attacked by acne after I stopped my Belo treatments (pasaway ‘cause I heard from Project Vanity convos that skin exfoliation isn’t good to use regularly) I had to get rid of the remaining pimples and acne marks. I was advised to have this treatment every 2 or 3 weeks for maximum results. I’ve had a couple of Revlite treatments this year and I must say that it really helps in tightening pores and reducing oil secretion.

So what makes Cara stand out from the other clinics? I really appreciate the skin discussion before, during and after the treatment. ‘Cause in other clinics, you can only ask about the treatments to their dermatologist/receptionists (maybe to avoid price errors). Also, they also do gentle passes the eyebag area! In some clinics, the revlite treatment on the eyebag area alone costs about P8,000 but here, if you avail Revlite for the face, which is around P4k+, you just have to add P1k+ so they can include the eye area in your Revlite treatment. Well, just a few passes on the eyebag area but compare naman to P8k of full eye area treatment, hello. This is already a great deal! If you’ve read my previous Revlite treatments, you would know how conscious I am about my eyebags so any treatments that will slow down the creases and dark bags, I’m in!

This looks like a wonderful clinic. I had my revlite laser on my face today. But my dermatologist didn’t give any after cream/instructions. Any suggestions for me? Thanks so much!

Hello! This was few years ago. It’s possible that the machine they used nowadays don’t need aftercare anymore. If you notice any skin problems after the procedure, please contact your derma for the right treatment. 🙂
