It’s Tony Moly’s skincare month! It’s the time of the year once again when Tony Moly reminds us to take care of our skin. I have to admit that I don’t religiously follow my own skin care routine because I am lazy like that. I’m guilty to have a very scattered skincare routine. Is this even considered a routine? Haha! Basically, it’s very complicated and boring so I thought I need to get my act together and make it more fun! So while I was shopping at Tony Moly in Megamall, I chanced upon this super cute and funny facial mask… A Gaksital (Bride mask in Korea), I believe?
Mask in the World Hydrogel Mask – Bride of Korea
Php 298.00
I’d look funny in this mask! I wasn’t sure yet what to expect from this not-so-ordinary-and-slightly-expensive mask but I was already sure to put it in my basket. I assume this sheet mask is supposed to be funny because of the thick eyebrows, okay?
So packaging is bigger compared to the other masks in their racks. It has a traditional Korean character with a fan on the front side and says “Mask in the World”. I am not sure if that means there are other characters available though. (Upon research, I’ve learned that the funny nobleman version is called Smile of Korea.)
At the back, you would see/read the instructions on how to use it. Since I can’t read Hangul, I just based a conclusion from the illustrations. It seems like it is best used after washing your face, like a standard sheet mask and leave it on for about 20 to 40 minutes.
This mask reminds me of Jigsaw! Oh my! So now, it looks scary! The mask is gel-based which promises to make skin look brighter!
As expected the mask is bigger than my face! So yeah, it did not fit so well and since it’s more like a plastic, it doesn’t adhere well on skin. I suggest to apply it when you’re laying down to keep the mask in place. However, it brightens and moisturizes the skin really well.
This mask totally made my day! I shared a good laugh with my sister so it’s definitely worth it. Still can’t decide though if I should add it in my skincare routine since a Php298.00 a day for a sheet mask is something serious. Have you tried funny sheet masks like this in your life?
