Make your skin smile with Mary Kay Botanical Effects!

Attended the Mary Kay event last Thursday with bloggers Ava and Keigh at KAI, Greenbelt 5. It was the launch of their newest product line – Botanical Effects, which is now available in the market!

First, we had a little activity and Tea talk with Ms. Nancy Reyes-Lumen outside the venue. Didn’t know that some of our plants in the backyard could become fresh healthy teas!

With the pretty bloggers Ava and Keigh
We went inside the restaurant for the presentation and product introduction. The Pinoy Biggest Loser Nutritionist Nadine Tengco had a talk about Stress and some health tips. We also had a chance to meet the general manager of Mary Kay – Mr. Tente Alday, and the brand manager – Fatima Lopez, who introduced the new skin care line: Botanical Effects.
“The new Botanical Effects Skin Care formulas contain an exclusive botanical complex with two effective botanical ingredients: Silymarin, a powerful antioxidant used for over 2,000 years that helps defend against environmental damage, while calming and smoothing skin, and Luo Han Guo, an ingredient infused with antioxidants, believed to help promote healthy skin. Because each skin type has its specific characteristics and concerns, the Botanical Effectsβ„’ line goes the extra distance to add another two potent botanical ingredients for each of the three skin types”, Ms. Fatima Lopez, Mary Kay Philippines’ brand manager explained during the recently concluded product launch.
1. For Dry Skin

2. For Normal Skin
3. For Oily Skin

Botanical Effectsβ„’ Skin Care 3-in-1 Cleanse (retails at P950): Effectively cleanses, exfoliates and freshens in one step.  Gently removes makeup and impurities without stripping essential elements .Leaves skin feeling clean and soft. Nondrying formula leaves skin looking healthy.
Botanical Effectsβ„’ Skin Care Hydrate (retails at P850): Absorbs quickly and leaves skin feeling balanced. Leaves skin feeling hydrated. Skin looks healthier and feels nourished and refreshed. Does not feel oily or greasy.
Botanical Effectsβ„’ Skin Care Mask (retails at P950): Gently removes impurities as it revitalizes skin; removes easily with water.  Deep cleans as it gently exfoliates. Restores radiance. Adapts to your skin’s needs leaving it looking healthier and feeling nourished
After the presentation, we had a healthy Japanese lunch at KAI. Japanese food overload! Yum! I love Japanese food! The Wasabi Oysters Tempura is my most favorite πŸ™‚

It was nice meeting my fellow bloggers again, the awesome people behind Mary Kay Philippines, Jeri, Maam Cosette, Christine, Ivor, and Pao. Thank you so much for having us and for the gift!
Your lifestyle can have a big impact on your skin. Getting seven to eight hours of sleep a night, drinking plenty of water and wearing sunscreen every day can contribute to healthier-looking skin. And washing your face every night before bed with a simple skin care regimen to remove makeup and impurities is a healthy habit that’s never too soon or too late to start. Make your skin smile!

I heard of Mary Kya products before and I heard of its nice effects but kinda expensive though…

  6. ive tried the cleanser and it's really good on my first use. im confident to use it everyday since there were no harmful chemicals used in it.

in my opinion,Β the more you spend, the better the quality of product is. looking forward for great results on my skin! πŸ˜‰

First time to hear about these products. Anyway, I have one question. Will it help me whiten my upper lip? We know it's a very sensitive part, and I'm quite afraid to use some products. The darkening was caused by wind burn. So weird, right? I went to almost 4 dermatologists and they can't give me such answer πŸ™

  8. noviegodmalin

I am not a beauty products fanatic cos I dont use it. but I have heard of this Mary Kay and all of the comments were good so maybe effective talaga. Yun nga lang may kamahalan. Tnx for the share. πŸ™‚

  9. ahh you may try their Tinted Lip Balm with SPF 15. You can also look for lip products with Licorice in the ingredients. And most impt, dont forget to exfoliate, like brushing or scrubbing πŸ™‚

I've heard of Mary Kay before. They actually have a branch near my place. But I never got to visiting their store. I have sensitive skin kasi, so I rarely risk using facial products even if these are organic-based. Even some of Healthy Options Toners reacted so badly on my face. =(

  12. Akanksha Chawla

I used to apply sunblock before but now I'm too lazy..I wanted to ask one thing though.. The side areas on my nose turn to flake now-a-days.. it is very tedious.. It didn't happen before..I use Forever's Face wash and moisturizer … what do you think would be the problem?? I guess you might know something as you gained an insight into beauty regime yourself πŸ™‚

Will be waiting fr ur ans on my blog or at my email id πŸ™‚

    New post is up <3

  23. nabuagermeline

ganyan ba talaga ka mahal magpaganda?hehe plano ko na sana bumili kaso nahinto pagkakita ng price. but i bet it's really effective as to speak by its price.

  24. quite pricey but definitely effective. It's not cheap to be beautiful but there are still a lot of natural and cheaper way to make your skin smile.

  25. This is something new to me.. will put this in my list. =)

saan na kaya yung blush and lipstick na regalo sa kin ng friend ko way back ?
hindi nmn siguro na-eexpire yon. sana mahanap ko.
according to my friend, talagang maganda effect sa skin nya ng mga products nla

  42. unofrtunately, cosmetics can only be kept for about 2-3years, 6months when already used

  43. unfortunately, cosmetics can only be kept for about 2-3years, 6months when already used

  44. I hear so much about Mary Kay products…I rea;;y need to get my hands on this and give it a try.

  46. Mary kay products are good but expensive.Β

  47. Shared your photos with credit. Hope you don't mind πŸ™‚

  48. no problem, botanical effects are really good btw!

  49. you have to try these Botanical Effects. When you buy to an MK beauty consultant, I think you can ask for a one-month basis payment, or 50-50 so it wont be budget-heavy πŸ˜‰

  50. but they're really effective! their eye creams are one of the best sellers πŸ™‚

  51. Β Great reminder about skin care!

Will Google a bit about Mary Kay, if it's offered in Europe.Β  This is the first time I've read about them.Β
