Rainy Season with Nuxe

The rainy season is back and that means I get a chance to use more skincare products than usual. One of those is Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse multi-purpose oil is a face, body and hair oil that hydrates, protects and repairs the skin/hair without a greasy or sticky feel. It’s the HG dry oil and I prefer using this kind whenever I don’t feel like applying a thick layer of lotion on my skin. And since it’s a multipurpose oil, I can use this on my face and hair as well!

The oil is packaged in a square-shaped glass bottle. Although it’s heavy, it exudes a luxurious vibe, and the transparent packaging shows off the oil’s color. I usually use the original yellow one but this product also comes in Floral (pink) and Neroli (Bio/green).

With at least 95.5% natural origin formula and ingredient line-up of vitamin E extracts and fatty acids, this oil is indeed a powerful antioxidant in a bottle. Each Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse contains – Tsubaki (which is excellent in maintaining skin and hair’s moisture levels), Argan (essential oil for increasing elasticity), Macadamia (good at regenerating and repairing skin and hair), Borage (helps in restoring hydration), Camellia (aids skin healing), Hazelnut (high in Vitamin E), and Sweet Almond (limits oxidative stress to skin cells). The product is free from preservatives, mineral oils and silicone. It also has vegan formula which means it has no ingredients or derivatives of animal origin.

After applying the oil to my arms and legs, I found that it glides on smoothly and it gets easily absorbed on my skin without the greasy feeling. I also use it occasionally on my hair and it gives a silkier, shinier look. Its legendary fragrance has notes of white flowers and vanilla. It gives this oil a creamy floral aroma that feels warm and cozy. The scent might be a little overpowering for some, but I like it especially when applied before bedtime.

On each application, my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth, but I need to reapply it to maintain the effects. I love how it gives a natural glow on my body and my hair and it even manages to tame my frizz and some baby hair. I don’t apply it on my face because of my oily sensitive skin, and I’m afraid the strong fragrance might cause breakouts.

I have convinced my mom to use this as well instead of VCO that smells nutty which is not so nice. She said she made a good big switch!

Nourishing, lightweight, and non-sticky, this luxurious oil lives up to all of its claims. No wonder why it’s a cult-favorite!
