Extreme days!!! Help me! Aside from a couple of ‘situations’ at SIAMESE, I am also dealing with this serious acne problem which is brought by one of my major sponsors called Stress. Haha! And I think I will just share my acne journey when I find the best solution in clearing them up. I waited sooo long just to have an almost clear skin for this makeup review and finally, here it is – Maybelline The Loaded Bolds lipsticks.
I got this during their launch last month. I really wanted to share how beautiful the kit was. It has a card that you could pull out to change the lipstick on the illustration. And lip-shaped pouch is so cool!
If you were able to watch my Facebook Live video, I made an accidental complaint (sorry! hahaha) when I received only 8 shades of Loaded Bolds. I think it was not yet available during the launch so they made pahabol and just shipped out the two remaining shades which are Pitch Black and Audacious Blue. And that made me really happy. Thanks Maybelline!
This collection has bright shades of pink, blue, purple, white, black and more reds. I was actually hoping to see more colors in the future like green and yellow. Their Pitch Black and Wickedly White shades may be worn alone if you’re going for a really bold editorial look. I just don’t know how it can be worn daily here in the Philippines where everyone can be oh-so-judgemental.
Php 299 each
The texture is a little like a creamy oil pastel crayon that gives a very pigmented color in one application. It’s quite tricky to get a straight lip line though if you’re not used to applying makeup. So far, this is the most affordable and most pigmented drugstore lipstick I’ve tried. It stays on for more than four hours on me.
Wickedly White is an opaque white shade which you can use alone as I have mentioned earlier, and can be used for mixing with other lipsticks. It also works as a matte highlighter for Pop Art Makeup Looks.
For me, it is quite drying but if I really want to achieve a Bold Matte color on my lips, I’d definitely choose this. It’s incredibly pigmented at a great price! And before I end this post, I would just like announce the Commenter of the Month who would take home all these swatched lipsticks that I used + the blue lip pouch! Congratulations Katie Seyls! Please email me at contact@carizzachua.com to know how to claim your prize.
Thank you everyone for your support!
