Ola Espanyola! Last week, our family went to Alqueria to satisfy our Spanish cravings. It is located at 3/F SM Megamall Fashion Hall and if you haven’t heard yet, it’s a restaurant under Sumosam group. A venture by some of the entertainment industry’s big names such as Marvin Agustin, Mylene Dizon, Agot Isidro, and Charo Santos-Concio.
“Alqueria” is a Spanish word which means farm house but actually the first thing that came into my mind was PAELLA. I want paella. So there, we went straight inside this restaurant.
We started off with a light salad and soup. Both dishes were just fine and nothing over the top.
I wasn’t expecting too much but the next dish was superb! Oh my, I wish we just skipped the appetizers haha. These shrimp and pork dishes are the bomb.
Their Salpicao is so tender and flavorful that would leave you wanting for more. This serving is sooo bitin. I want more of this!
Paella usually takes around 30 minutes to prepare so I was enlivened when this Paella Valenciana was finally served!
Delicioso! Something that I would reorder again soon too! I am not sure if the next dish was Pollo Al Ajillo but it was something good and different as well.
Everyone loves seafood so we didn’t miss the salmon.
And of course, we didn’t miss Queso Fundido
They’re also known for the churros. Too bad we got all full so we weren’t able to try it. Had to stroll a little before our sweet ending at an ice cream bar.
