Diamond Peel at Dermclinic

Recently, I have added two new products in my skincare regimen. It’s the Nuderm Astringent Toner and Nuderm Facial AHA Soap!
I use this astringent day and night to control my excessively oily skin. Because of its anti-bacterial properties and Glycolic Acid content, it diminishes acne breakouts, pimples, and blackheads.

Ingredients: Water, Ethyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Glycolic Acid, Potassium Alum, Triethanolamine, Ricinoleth-40, Salicylic Acid, Phenoxethanol (and) Methyl Paraben (and) Butyl Paraben (and) Propyl Paraben, Menthol, Cucumber Extract, Nettle Extract, Propylene Glycol (and) Algae Extract, Fragrance
For extra beauty benefit, I also use Nuderm Facial AHA Soap which helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles by 18%, soften and smoothen skin by 6%, improves skin tone and texture and relieves skin from irritations. Two weeks might be too short for me to notice improvements, so when you see me in person and notice any skin enhancement, please let me know. ๐Ÿ™‚
Two weeks after my Crystal Facial Treatment at Dermclinic, I went back to try their Intense Diamond Peel.
The treatment is similar to Crystal Facial but basically, Diamond Peel is a device-assisted procedure that uses a diamond-tipped wand to remove dry surface cells and regain skin’s radiance. It minimizes pore size, diminishes fine lines and age marks, and reduces dark spots as well. Acne Extraction will be done by a professional dermatologist.
As usual, you will be asked to wash your hands and face first before the treatment. Then, the therapist will start with deep cleansing using a machine-operated brush, use a massage cream and a relaxing firming mask.
The mask will be gently removed after 15 minutes and then followed by steaming. After a couple of minutes, you will be transferred to another room for the actual diamond peel and acne extraction.
For the Diamond Peel, the dermatologist used a familiar microdermabrasion tool from 3Face session. It allows progressive and constantly-controlled exfoliation and abrasion of superficial skin which results to luminous, soft, smoother, and younger skin. I also noticed that the tools used are much much cleaner than the ones I’ve tried in other clinics. You won’t feel like there’s a rough thing scraping your skin too.
Next, is the acne extraction. If you don’t have any pimples, then you may skip this procedure. In my case, I still have about 2 to 3 cysts on my hairline and four dormant pimples and the only way to treat them is through extraction.

Honestly, I had experience acne extraction at the same branch before and the pain was tolerable compared to what I experienced now but I just can’t complain because even the small harmless whiteheads were literally wiped off! Dormant pimples and cysts were pricked and injected. My face is now clean and bumpless!
As you can see on the photos above, pore size was minimized and skin became smoother and less oily too after the treatment. You may notice some scarring due to dormant acne injection but it will fade 5-6 days after.

What I like about the Dermclinic’s Diamond Peel:

– Fine lines are diminished revealing smoother and softer skin
– Pore size are instantly minimized
– Hard to treat dormant pimples were extracted and injected
– Clean equipments
What I don’t like about the procedure:
Painful acne extraction compared to my earlier visits
My derma advised me to take antibiotics (co-amoxiclav) for treating of my acne but I think I am not brave or adventurous enough YET to try it. I’ll stick with acne treating topical products for the meantime. Overall, I am very happy with the service. The 1 hour procedure was worth it. I can now feel that beautiful skin is just a peel away!

Co-amoxiclav ?! Hell no.. I take that anti-biotic during the time that I had acute pneumonia last year. I experienced hyperacidity to the max!! Malakas kasi yung anti-biotic na yun alam ko… Buti hindi mu tinake…

  13. Thanks for reminding me about AHA soap! Must use this again! I cant remember how much the toner is. Probably around 1k?

  14. It depends on the dosage. My vet once prescribed it for my cats' wounds

I checked DermCliniic's website, it says there 235 pesos for the astringent toner. ๐Ÿ™‚ The AHA soap is so affordable I bought it for 80 pesos and I didn't expect the soap to be that big. The soap might last me for 2 months.

  16. Thanks for the info. I think the 1k is for the whole set. Cause they also have mild cleanser and 2 kinds of toner

yeah I think it depends if you have acne-prone skin.
