EZFlow TruGel Polish Launch at The Nail Lounge

I love how gel nail polish looks like and I’ve always wanted to try it but I never had the time to go to the nail salon. So when Ogie invited me to EZFlow TruGel Polish Launch, I immediately said yes!
TruGel is a 100% gel formula in a bottle that strengthens nails with mega-shine and color that lasts and lasts. It is strong like a traditional gel and brushes on easily like a polish. As an added bonus, it protects natural nails leaving them healthier and stronger. It also takes little time to remove the gel without drilling or filing – a 10-minute soak-off does the trick.

The intimate sparty happened at The Nail Lounge at Makati Golf Club. It’s just a few steps away from RCBC Plaza. I used to work in Makati so the place was quite easy for me to find. Good location, lesser crowd and relaxing atmosphere; and inside the salon, you’d see modern and fairly minimal victorian interiors.

First, they asked us to choose which gel polish we’d like to try. With so many gorgeous shades to choose from, I think this process consumed a lot of my time. Haha.
The one assigned to do my nails was Ate Fanny and I LOVE HER. She was very meticulous and perfected my nails in no time! Aside from that, she even gave me nail care tips and I noticed that her nail kit was extra neat compared to other nail technicians’.
Just like the regular manicure, we started with removal of old nail polish and cleaning of nails, and cuticle removal. After that, my nails were prepped (with a little massage and hand cream application) and EzFlow Bond-It-On Gel Bonder was applied. Followed by a thin coat of EzFlow TruGel Base Coat for long wearing, chip-free finish and was cured 30 seconds in LED lamp nail dryer.
They’ve used LED lamp nail dryer instead of UV for faster result and lesser harm on skin and eyes.
LED Lamp Nail Dryer
A thin coat of TruGel Gel Polish Color in Tiffany was then applied, cured for 30 seconds in LED lamp, and the process was repeated for second and third coat. Finished with TruGel Top Coat, another 30 seconds under LED lamp and cleansed with alcohol.
Voila!
For our pedicure, we had a chance to use Seche nail polish lacquers! I think the color I chose here is Dainty Decadence.
The gel polish service at The Nail Lounge starts at P600. Is it worth it? YES. Well, I have heard a lot of cons about gel polishes like the UV/LED lamp requirement and the nail salon staff assistance in applying and removing of the product but the advantages of having a gel polish outweigh because:
1. Nails shines with high gloss and long lasting color
2. Could last for 3 weeks up to a month
3. Actually made my nails healthier and stronger!
I had them on for a week now and so far there are no chipping, no cracking on my nails (which usually happens which leads to nail gluing), no splitting and no peeling. And that’s a big help for a clumsy human being like me. I’m sure removing the gel polish wouldn’t be difficult too as a 10-minute soak in nail polish remover will quickly remove the color.

Thank you so much Ogie Rodriguez and The Nail Lounge for this chic nail polish experience!

Out of all nail polishes I’ve tried over the years, this one is the best. Right now, I could hand-wash my clothes, wash dishes, fold clothes, and type on keyboard in a carefree manner and other sorts of similar abuse without having my nail polish chipped off. I don’t even have to worry about my nails when I fumble around in my bag in search for makeup or house keys!
