What’s on my table? 4U2 Splash! Collection
Today, I’m gonna show you new and exciting collection from 4U2 Cosmetics’ new line called Splash! This collection is themed around sparkly shimmering skin and vibrant makeup for f/w season. The sophisticated and precisely chosen colours can be worn at any occasion and season, making it a perfect addition to your makeup collection.
Let’s start with 4U2 Splash! Pixie Dust.
At first, I thought it was nail polish because of the container but it’s actually a shimmery powder for face and shoulders. It has an applicator but I guess it would be easier to spread and blend if it was a brush.
Ingredients: Mica, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Propylparaben, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Squalane, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tin Oxide.
My skin is pretty fair and pale and when I tried applying some, it just doesn’t work on me. I mean, it shimmers but there’s no magical difference. Lol. I think it is perfect for a 70’s Americana vibe and it’s a fantastic choice for morena, medium, to dark brown skin tone.
Next is 4U2 Splash! Velvet EyeShadow 4. This multi-colour eye shadow palette features enviable new eye shadow colour combinations and comes with perfect highlighters. This set is ideal for everyday use.
The packaging is sturdy and doesn’t easily break. When my kittens were playing on my desk, they accidentally dropped this and another product and surprisingly, there were no cracks inside!
– Four colour choices
– Comes in a small box
– Easy to be kept
– Suitable for all skin types
Ingredients: Isopropyl Alcohol, Mica, Dimethicone, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Diisostearyl Malate, Talc, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Magnesium Stearate, Paraffinum Liquidum, Propylparaben, Petrolatum, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance, Tin Oxide, Silica, Methicone
This product exceeded my expectation. It is highly pigmented and the texture is buttery and soft. The eyeshadow doesn’t fade nor fall out easily and it could stay for around 6 hours, without eye primer. That is pretty impressive, considering it is a drugstore brand.
One thing I really love about Splash! Collection is their blush shades. They have this new baked powder Marble Blush 02 that has long lasting marble tones. It has a very attractive packaging with butterfly prints on it. It doesn’t come with a mini brush but it’s totally fine with me as I can’t control blush strokes with small brushes anyway.
This marble blush doesn’t have shimmers on it but one brush stroke gives a fairly pigmented and lively orange tone on your cheeks! Plus, the texture is really soft and smooth on skin. It has good pigmentation that you have to be careful in application or else you’ll get too orange-y cheeks!
Ingredients: Mica, Cyclopenthasiloxane, Talc, Cyclohexasiloxane, Zinc Oxide, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Dimethicone, Polysorbate 20, Prpylparaben, Fragrance, Tocopheryl Acetate, Methicone.
I also tried 4U2 Splash! Floral Blush 02 which is said to have real flower power! It has stunning floral color with floral petal inserts for shades that will make you bloom.
It has a really nice package design with floral and metallic prints combined. The blush itself has white beautiful hearts circling around. I got Shade 02 which is somewhat old rose with subtle shimmer but looks gorgeously blooming when applied on skin. Pigmentation is moderate which means 2-3 swipes are enough for the color to show on face.
Now let’s move on to the other product that my kittens broke while they were playing. 4U2 Splash! Matt Blush 3. It was badly damaged, good thing, I was able to take photos as the embossed floral blush design is really gorgeous. I was able to fix it with alcohol after.
Unlike the two other blushes, this one has a mirror inside. It’s light-weight and easy to tote.
Ingredients: Isopropyl Alcohol, Mica, Talc, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Magnesium Stearate, Dimethicone, Paraffinum Liquidum, Propylparaben, Petrolatum, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance, Tin Oxide, Methicone
It brightens up pale or dull skin tone and the color turns up like a bright pink on my skin tone. It has a little fallout but it blends really well and doesn’t enhance pores. I’m quite surprised at how well it lasted on me. I wore this about 6 hours and there was just a slight fade. No shimmer. Here’s a look when shades are swirled together:
Here’s a swatch line for the three blushes mentioned above. Among the three blushes I’ve tried, the Floral Blush won over my heart as it has the most natural looking color.
Marble Blush, Floral Blush, Matt Blush
Products may contain Propylparaben, talc, and fragrance which might give allergic reactions to your skin so better to test product first before purchasing.
Overall, the product line is astounding. Each product costs around Php 394.00 (based on one product with a tag price). I had fun applying them on my face. No disappointments, just pure fun and excitement! I hope you guys enjoyed the review.
Love it? Try this new collection from 4U2 and make a splash!
