It was a very fashionable yet mobbed afternoon when the Hollywood star and style icon Sarah Jessica Parker graced the VIP opening at SM Aura yesterday. Yes! She is currently here in the Philippines. She is anmed as the ambassador of the Philippine’s SM Aura and she’ll be the ‘global’ face of The SM Store!
SJP arrived at the venue at 5pm wearing a black sheer dress. For a big celebrity, she was surprisingly simple, sweet, and down-to-earth. I remember her saying ‘sorry’ to the lady guard when some photographers were shouting at her to move. Simple thing which reminded me that everyone deserves to be respected.

SPJ showed up for the ribbon cutting ceremony and signing of her posters. Then, she was toured around inside The SM Store where the guests, even celebrities, went gaga and followed her!
We waited for the press con for two hours, was moved from different seats, pushed by photographers, but it was all worth it! It’s an interview with SJP!
Sarah Jessica Parker talked about her first experience in Manila. She said it is one of the most exciting places she’ve been in a really, really long time. She enjoyed food, fashion, and even the traffic here in the Philippines!

According to Millie Dizon, senior vice president for marketing, SJP was chosen as brand ambassador for SM Aura because “her style is experimental and unparalleled. She can wear clothes as diverse our fashion collections.”

It was also announced that SJP donated $100,000 to the less fortunate community in Taguig city through SM Foundation. Wow. She is truly amazing. Thank you so much, SJP!
And of course, I failed to go near her and have a photo op. So I just took a photo sitting on The SJP Chair. Haha!

There was a free IMAX screening for us as well but I opted to go home early as I cant feel my feet anymore. Little did I know there was a meet and greet, up close and personal, with SJP! Wah! Sayang!
The mall was filled with celebrities and the stores opened one by one. This is actually the first time I see all stores having different events at the same time! It was a huge success! Congratulations!

SM Aura will be opened to the public today, May 17, 2013. Check out the SMX, IMAX, international stores like Uniqlo, Suiteblanco, Stefanel, BB Dakota, Farah, River Island, J Lindberg, especially the biggest store of Forever 21 here in the Philippines!
