Battle of the Toners

What’s on my table?
I’ve been using different toners lately cause there are a lot of great products to try. First to review is Loreal Hydrafresh Anti-Shine Toner. Enriched with Deep MArine Source Water, the icy texture invigorates skin and gives a splash of ocean freshness. It also purifies skin instantly and retracts dilated pores, making it less visible.
What I like most about this product is that it instantly quench and mattify shiny skin! It is also enriched with zinc, which is known for its powerful sebum-control properties. It helps regulate sebum excess and prevents skin from greasing.
Ingredients: Water, Alcohol Denat., Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, PEG/PPG/Polybutylene, Glycol-8/5/3 Glycerin, PEG-192 Apricot Kernel Glycerides, PPG-6 Decyltetradeceth-30, Linalool, Carbomer, Calcium Gluconate, Zinc Gluconate, Manganese Gluconate, Sodium Hydroxide, Maris Aqua/Sea Water, Magnesium Gluconate, Limonene, Disodium EDTA, Copper Gluconate, Menthol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Benzyl Benzoate, Salicylic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Hexyl Cinnamal, Fragrance
P295.00 for 200ml
The other one is Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner. It is specially formulated to provide clean,  refreshing toning without the harsh, drying effects of alcohol. Special mild purifiers gently remove impurities and recondition skin, making it feel fresh, clean and soft.
This toner has a mild scent but does not sting when applied on skin. It won’t strip skin’s natural moisturizers too. So far, I haven’t experience any irritation or break outs with these products even if I have acne-prone skin
Ingredients: Water, PEG-4, Butylene, Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Ceteth-24, Choleth-24, Panthenol, Glycereth-26, Sodium PCA, Benzalconium Chloride, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Chloride, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance.
P276.50 for 150ml
So if you have oily skin, Loreal’s would be great for you as it can mattify the skin instantly. For normal to sensitive skin, the alcohol-free Neutrogena would be best to use.

Have you tried these products? Which one do you prefer?

is it really necessary to tone the skin once in a while?

  6. IMO, you should add it on your skin care regimen. toners can return ph balance of skin, removes excess oil and dirt, and gives additional benefits depending on type of tpner (pore tightening, anti acne, etc)
