Christian Dior’s 50’s Couture

Check out Christian Dior’s latest Haute Couture collection with 50’s kind of vintage elegance on which he was famous for. The collection for this season is less dramatic, far less theatrical, than something Galliano might have dreamed up. Some pieces could be worn as Ready to Wear too. Let’s see how Dior’s Spring 2012 Collection mashed together the vintage silhouettes and sultry sheer fabrics. With faux-bobbed hair and soft retro eyeshadow, the models swanned the runway as if clones of Mad Men‘s Betty Draper: a little cold, a little sexy, every bit the epitome of untouchable elegance.
It’s a combination of luxurious transparent fabrics and waist cinching silhouettes. Though the collection played safe for a Haute Couture, I really think this collection is gorgeous.
