Mr. Kurosawa is a Euro-Japanese restaurant inspired by the late Japanese director Akira Kurosawa. It is located at Eastwood Mall, Quezon City.
They interiors of the resto is excellent. The room is full of mirrors which makes the restaurant look wider and more spacious. I find these backlit posters on the ceiling attractive – which also serve as colorful room lights!
There’s an endless choice of Japanese dishes but since we cannot eat everything we want in one sitting, we chose their specialties – Euro-Japanese foods.
We started with Chicken and Beef Kamameshi for our dinner:
It’s a traditional Japanese rice dish cooked in an iron pot with chicken and beef toppings. Good for 2 to 3 servings. It was quite ok but I can’t say this is unforgettable. I was actually surprised to see this in a small container. It is usually served in a large iron pot. For me, Jumbo Japs’ Kamameshi is better. I know this is a heavy meal but we still ordered another one, which is Unagi Soba:
Also good for 2 to 3 person. Unagi is a Japanese broiled eel but do not be discouraged! The taste is exceptional but very delicious~ Served with green Soba noodles and Tsuyu sauce, topped with slivers of Nori, chopped cucumber and sesame seeds. This is my favorite~
We were already full (rice+pasta) but we would love to try one more! The Chicken Wardolf Pizza!
Who says Chicken Waldorf is only for salads? It could be for pizza too! Shibui~ Thin crusted pizza with Chicken teriyaki, cheese, nori, apple, and pineappkle toppings. This experience is totally worth it and I would love to go back again and try out their different kinds of Japanese Rolls and rice dishes too!
