Astoria Plaza

We stayed at Astoria Plaza last weekend to have a break from work and relax for a while. The hotel was within the city proper so it was close to the malls and they serve a free shuttle service to the nearest establishments like Shangrila, Megamall, Podium and Robinsons. 🙂
We stayed at the apartment style room which was good for two. It was really large for two guests! It has a dining room connected to the living room, a spacious kitchen, one bedroom and a bathroom. We love the modern interiors inside and the view over Ortigas. It was all clean and comforting. If this is not a hotel, I would definitely stay here for good!
Here’s a shot from the 15th floor one afternoon.
I wasn’t able to sleep well, maybe because of my excitement. So I took another shot at 3am. The sky was beautiful.

And this is Ortigas at 5:30 am…

We had complimentary bottled water and wifi connection. The internet was bad so we did not use it. I’ve read online that they have a mini bar but the refrigerator was empty when I opened it.
But we were able to maximize the kitchen as Big Sister cooked pasta for dinner! I also prepared buttered breads but it was a fail (as always). Take a look at the clumsy slices haha.

We had our breakfast at Cafe Astoria wherein we received great customer service from the waiters. I was delighted that their breakfast buffet was good – happy that they didn’t serve corned beef nor tapa but I was a bit sad they missed the bacon!

4th plate! XD

I can’t imagine it all fitted inside my tummy!

They also have good amenities like the pool, gym and spa but we never tried those because of the crowd. Big sister had a chance to use the gym. We love to try their spa services but I think it was a bit expensive compared to the spas/salons nearby the hotel.

At the end of our stay, we all enjoyed and had a good relaxing experience. We would definitely love to go back here soon!
